The FE, LXS, GT-Line and EX trim levels come standard with a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine attached to a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional continuously variable automatic transmission system.  With this engine equipped, the 2021 Kia Forte is capable of outputting 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque.

The second engine option available for the 2021 Kia Forte is a turbocharged, four-cylinder, 1.6-liter engine attached to a standard seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission or an optional six-speed manual transmission. This engine outputs 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque.
