What Is An EV?

EV stands for ‘electric vehicle’ and it propels itself using 100% electricity as opposed to an internal combustion engine (I.C.E.). EV’s have a battery pack comprised of many cells that send power to an electric motor, whereas an internal combustion engine runs on gasoline or diesel fuel.

Do I Need To Plug In An EV?

Yes. Every EV needs to be charged. The time it takes to recharge an EV depends on the type of charger you have installed. Whether it’s a level 1 charger, or a fast charger, time could range from 30 minutes to several hours.

Are EV’s Good For The Environment?

EV’s have no tailpipe emissions. There are emissions caused when charging, however research shows that that EV’s have lower levels of greenhouse gases than gasoline- or diesel-powered vehicles. Even factoring in the plug-in time, EV’s produce far less emissions over the course of a traditional vehicle’s life cycle.
