According to the study, overall quality across the top automakers has increased at a much higher rate than usual over the last year. The addition of convenience technologies, along with better fuel economy ratings and modern design has boosted initial quality across the board.

Kia Beats All Luxury Brands in Initial Quality

For the first time in 27 years, a non-premium brand topped the rankings in initial quality, and we are proud to say that it was Kia. This was also the second consecutive year that Kia was ranked ahead of all the non-premium makes in initial quality.
