2017 Sportage vs 2017 Escape Engine Specs

When it comes to engine power, the 2017 Sportage has the upper hand over the standard specs of the 2017 Escape. The base engine for the 2017 Kia Sportage is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that produces an impressive 181 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque, all while managing to achieve up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway. The Explorer on the other hand, only puts down 168 horsepower and is just short of 30 miles per gallon on the highway.  

Both the Sportage and the Escape come with a standard six-speaker audio system, Bluetooth compatibility, and steering wheel mounted audio controls. Both SUVs have seating for up to five adult passengers and cloth-trimmed seating, but the 2017 Sportage comes with standard heated front seats for added comfort during chilly drives.
