Updated Kia Optima Hybrid is the best version yet

Updated Kia Optima Hybrid

This isn’t the first year that the Kia Optima has been offered in a hybrid edition, but we might say that the 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid in Kenosha is the most impressive version yet. This is because Kia has done its homework and has created a hybrid that makes the brand proud with increased efficiency and a different set of performance figures. The updated Kia Optima Hybrid is ready to roll here at Palmen Kia – and we welcome you to read up on some of the details first!

First of all, the updated Kia Optima Hybrid features a 47 kW Lithium Polymer battery that allows for an overall 199 horsepower. And the torque for the vehicle increased to 235 pound-feet, which is much higher than the previous number available on the vehicle. The increased torque gives the updated Kia Optima Hybrid some additional kick – something not always seen in the hybrid segment.

As for the all important efficiency, the Optima Hybrid gets up to 40 MPG on the highway and 36 in the city for an impressive combined number of 38 MPG. This is also an improvement over the previous version, proving Kia brought out the big guns when it came to the 2013 Optima Hybrid.

Even the wheels are more efficient this year, if you can believe it. The new Optima Hybrid features 17-inch alloy wheels that are lighter and even more aerodynamic than previous versions. And they also go along the roadway smoothly to reduce overall drag.
