Announced in late June, the 2022 Kia Soul will be released soon in the United States. With the model’s success in the last year, the model will return for the upcoming model year with little changes. However, it will provide plenty of peripheral switches to match its new logo. But what’s coming to the 2022 model, which is set to arrive near Kenosha, WI soon? Despite Carryover Status, the 2022 Kia Soul Will Offer Changes

While the 2022 Kia Soul is largely a carryover model, it does add a few minor adjustments drivers will love. The 2022 model lineup will be outfitted with new logo branding, so the Soul will have new badging throughout. A 10.3-inch navigation system is offered on all but the LX base trim level. However, the LX trim will receive a larger 8.0-inch screen than the previously-sized seven-inch option last year. The LX model will also have access to the Technology Package, which provides various safety features to pair with Kia DriveWise™ driver assistance technology. Features added to the trim level with the package includes:

Performance and Engine Specifications for the 2022 Kia Soul

Inside the 2022 Kia Soul, the two engine options from the 2021 model year remain the same. Standard models will receive a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine. The option offers up 147 horsepower and 132 ft-lbs of torque. An available 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-four engine will also be available. It adds 201 horsepower and 195 ft-lbs of torque. Meanwhile, it maintains a respectable estimated 27 City, 32 highway MPG rate. Both engines will only be offered with an automatic transmission this year.
