Kia Soul EV Release
We’re big fans of the Kia Soul. Whether it’s one of the new 2014 redesigned models or any of the fun, functional versions that came before it, we just can’t get enough of the Soul’s spacious, unique take on the tall wagon. Now Kia’s upping the ante in yet another huge way by introducing the electric version: This year’s 2015 Kia Soul EV release is going to add yet another reason for us to think this is one of the coolest cars on the road. Today wel bring you photos, details, and a chance to watch the latest video from Kia featuring the Soul EV.
The 2015 Kia Soul’s got a 109-horsepower fully electric motor. You’ll also enjoy 210 lb-ft of torque and an innovative battery that uses regenerative braking in addition to regular charging to provide you with an estimated 124-mile range.
The Soul EV has its charging port in the place of where you’d normally find the grille (pictured below) and allows for super-fast charging in a standard 120 volt outlet, 240 EV charger or a DC fast-charging port. You can even pre-heat or pre-cool your Soul EV while it’s charging using a convenient Smartphone app, and you even save on battery power for the drive ahead by doing it that way.
The super-comfortalbe interior has plenty of room thanks to the small size of the battery, and offers a super-quiet ride without the traditional engine making all kinds of racket. On top of that, soundproofing technology creates an even more distraction-free experience.
With features like rear camera display, cruise control, navigation, and Bluetooth hands-free audio and connectivity, you’ll be all set. Convenient, easy to read displays tell you all the relevant information to make your driving experience smooth and enjoyable.
