Fun Things to do in Kenosha
Whether you live in Kenosha or are just visiting, families and individuals are always looking for things to do. Well here at Palmen Kia, we are compiling some fun things to do in Kenosha for those seeking an eventful day here in our hometown. And since we know having fun can often cost money, we will be focusing on some events that are either free or can be done at a minimal cost.
Now that we are officially in fall, we will start with an event that just gets started while some others are winding down – the Winter HarborMarket. It’s an indoor version of the popular food market. The Winter HarborMarket will take place in the lobby of the Rhode’s Lakeside Player Theater at 514 56th St. Of course, if it’s summer, enjoy the regular market as well. And best of all, it’s free – but of course you have to pay for any goods purchased.
If you are looking at a cool tour of some of Kenosha’s rich history, make sure to check out the Southport Light Station Museum. The shipping and fishing industry is big for Kenosha’s history – and this museum covers it all. Possibly the coolest part is that you can actually climb the Southport Lighthouse, which is 55 feet above the grounds. As for admission, it’s under $10!
Need something for the kids? Then check out the Dinosaur Discover Museum at 5608 Tenth Ave. It is open Tuesday through Sunday, and offers some hands-on activities for kids. This includes Dino Digs on Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Check out the full list of activities here. This is a free event!
As for the adults, the Rustic Road Brewing Company is a popular one. Located downtown at 510 56th St, the brewing company crafts six popular beers – and you can try them all! Of course, there is also food available!
