Connecting Smartphone to Sportage Bluetooth
Step One: Start by turning on your Kia’s UVO infotainment system. Once this is powered up, find the “Phone” icon on the screen and press it. When it asks if you’d like to pair a phone, choose the “yes” option on the screen.
Step Two: The screen will say “add from your Bluetooth devices,” so you’ll want to turn on your iPhone’s Bluetooth feature. To find this, go to “settings,” and press the Bluetooth icon to turn it on. Your phone should begin to search for your Bluetooth-enabled Sportage.
Step Three: When your phone finds your Kia’s Bluetooth, it will display the vehicle’s name on the screen. Once you see this, your phone should then ask you to enter a passcode. Your vehicle’s PIN number, as provided by your Kia. Press the “Pair” button.
Step Four: At this point, your phone should say that you are connected. Your Kia’s screen will also display the words “pairing complete,” and all you have to do is pretty “okay.” It will take a few seconds for your infotainment system to finish the final setup. When your phone is connected, the vehicle screen will have a Bluetooth symbol in the top right corner.
