2019 Kia Optima Convenience and Comfort Technology

In addition to new design cues inside and out, the Optima has expanded ADAS technology, a new UVO infotainment system and more. To enhance comfort, the Optima now offers available European-inspired red and black two-tone sport leather-trimmed seats. New projection beam fog lamps and LED daytime running lights make it easier to see the road ahead in the dark, and standard push-button start, smart key, smart trunk and power front windows are all added to increase convenience and allow you to keep your key fob safely in your pocket while starting your Optima. Ambient multicolor interior lighting is available, as well as a heated steering wheel and heated front seats.

New Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are offered as standard features across all Optima trim levels for 2019. These systems include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward Collision Warning System, Driver Attention Warning, Lane Keep Assist, and Lane Departure Warning. While these systems do not take the place of responsible, attentive driving, they can help alert you to dangers on the road that you might have otherwise missed.

2019 Kia Optima UVO Infotainment Technology

Kia restructured the UVO system to make it easier to use and is debuting this improved system in the 2019 Optima. UVO Play features Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility that connect to the system through a USB cable. Drivers can then use voice recognition to use their smartphones for navigation, phone calls, and text messages, and music streaming through the UVO system. UVO link uses all of the listed features of UVO Play and adds on-demand diagnostics, maintenance alerts, speed alerts and more. The top-tier system is UVO link with Navigation and it adds MY POIs and Map Care, which allows you to upgrade your maps twice per year to ensure the most accurate navigation.
