The 2016 Kia Sorento is shown as the beautiful car that Pierce is driving up a mountain in the pitch. The differences between what Pierce Brosnan feels are his role in the clip and what his agent is pitching to him makes for an amusing addition to the six previous Kia Superbowl advertisements.
From driving at 200mph to 30 mph and seeing snipers and missile launchers that are actually an owl and a moose, Pierce Brosnan tries to guess every step in the pitch and is wrong every time.
The ending proves to be the only part of the pitch that both Pierce and his agent seem to be on the same page about, but they still have different images in their heads.
“What is the mission?” Brosnan asks his agent. “There is no mission,” the agent says.
Advertising their 2016 Sorento, Kia is making efforts to show that their vehicles are both luxurious and adventurous as both the superhero and the nature drive storylines could take place in the same beautifully designed vehicle.
Kia is one of a few automotive brands that have purchased a spot in the 2015 Superbowl commercial lineup. A 30 second spot costs about $4.5 Million.
